Job responsibilities includes:- Financial Support to rural financial institutions ( through a mix of grant and loan products), State Governments for agriculture and rural development- Providing consultancy to state government departments relating to agriculture, rural development and monitoring of projects- Guiding the priority sector lending and credit planning at both district and state level, in sync with policy directives of the GOI and the RBI- Overseeing Statutory Inspections of Cooperative Banks and RRBs under provisions of the Banking Regulation Act- Implementation and monitoring financial inclusion programmes by Regional Rural Banks and Cooperative Banks- Propagation and implementing of micro credit (SHG, JLG) in the states of Punjab and HP, collaborating with the NGO sector for promotion of CBOs, FPOs, and Farmers Clubs- Implementation of Climate Change project- Handling / appraisal and overseeing implementation of infrastructure projects worth Rs. 1500 crore which had been sanctioned to the state governments- Planning, Implementation and Monitoring of poverty alleviation / livelihood generation projects under Tribal Development Fund and Watershed Development Fund ( funds under the GoI)

• Preparation of the District Credit Plan, a credit planning document at the district level, which forms the cornerstone in planning the ground level credit flow at the district level• Implementation of the District Credit Plan, with continuous monitoring of the credit delivery structure• Interaction with NGOs, Farmers Clubs, Banks, government departments, and year round coordination with all these development partners to ensure holistic development of the district• During the period of about 6 years in the district, was directly involved in formation, nurturing, credit linkage and livelihood generation of about 2500 Self Help Groups ( SHGs) and about 150 Farmers Club
