Current#Developing slot-die coating methodology to produce high-quality large-area perovskite thin films as well as advancing drying and annealing strategies to control the film formation kinetics and crystallization pathways.#Developing spray-coating methodology to deposit a few nm thin large-area buffer and passivation layers and approaches to characterize and quantify them.#Advancing green-solvent processable roll-to-roll and spray coating methodologies for the interfacial layer to improve the performance and long-term reliability of the First Solar's Series 6 and onwards CdTel solar cells modules: Solvent and material selection, ink formulation, thin-film deposition, and characterization.#Design individual process equipment to enable thin film wet coating, determine and evaluate tool/equipment specifications through engineering, scientific or empirical methods, and troubleshoot the equipment and introduce hardware upgrades to improve functionality.#Develop state of the art high-volume manufacturing compatible in-line and laboratory scale metrology for material, solution and thin film, establish controls for critical parameters, improve process robustness, statistical analysis of data with JUMP#Learning Energy and Sustainability Policy-making process to increase the use of renewable energy and approaches to reduce the cost and semiconductor manufacturing carbon footprints.
