By training, I am a lawyer; however, I choose academia to follow my teaching and research interest. Since my law graduation, I have been publishing academic and op-ed articles on various socio-legal issues. Broadly, my research area is covered human rights, fundamental rights and their application horizontally, women's rights and rights of other historically marginalised sections, and education. I am working on the 'horizontal application of fundamental rights. Through my research, I argue to make a constitutional obligation on the non-state actors to curb discrimination and inequality caused by them against their fellow citizens. My research is interdisciplinary and intersectionality that covers the issues of caste, religion and gender.
