Postdoctoral ResearcherCentre National De La Recherche Scientifique Feb 2020 - Oct 2021Dijon, Burgundy-Franche-Comte, FranceProject #1: Neuro-augmented 112Gbaud CMOS plasmonic transceiver platform forIntra- and Inter-DCI applications (NEBULA): We contribute to plasmonic thermal stabilizers of NEBULA, a collaborative project funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme. PTS is an integrated device which consists of electrically controlled micro/nanometer sized plasmonic actuators and sensors on TiO2 photonic platform. My key responsibilities:• Designing of the integrated device.• Perform all the cleanroom fabrication, electro-optical characterization and numerical modelling of the integrated device.• Designed and built fiber coupled optical microscope with in situ capabilities of electric and thermal measurements. Project #2: Electrostatic control of nanoscale hot electron light source: We study electrostatic control of hot electron temperature at controlled locations on plasmonic nanowire network and utilize resulting nonlinear photoluminescence for demonstration of minute sources of light at subwavelength scale. My key responsibilities:• Design, fabrication and electro-optical characterization of plasmonic nanowire-based device.• Designed and built an optical microscope for wide field imaging, Fourier plane imaging and spectroscopy with in situ capabilities of electrical measurements. -
Doctoral ResearcherIndian Institute Of Science Education And Research (Iiser), Pune Aug 2016 - Jan 2020Pune, Maharashtra, IndiaProject #1: Structured light-matter interactions and Spin-orbit coupling at the nanoscale:Aim: The study was focused at how transverse spin and orbital momentum flows control the scattering of angular momentum carrying beams from an individual nanowire and generation of plasmons in plasmonic nanowires. My responsibilities:- Designed and built a dual channnel optical Fourier plane microscopy and spectroscopy setup capable of performing linear and nonlinear scattering with structured light.-Built setup to generate structured light beams such as Hermite Gaussian and Laguerre Gaussian beamsusing spatial light modulator technology.-Numerical simulations (COMSOL) for the linear scattering of light from plasmonic nano objects.Project #2: Nonlinear light scattering from plasmonic/organic nano/meso structures: Aim: We systematically studied underlying processes giving rise to the distributed nonlinear photoluminescence in a plasmonic nanowire and its wavevector distribution. In other work, we studied beam steering of second harmonic signal from organic mesowire. My responsibilities:-Fabrication of plasmonic nanowires using top-down fabrication approach.-Optical characterization of nonlinear photoluminescence and second harmonic generation using spaceresolved spectroscopy and Fourier plane microscopy.
