- Led the re-architecture of Amazon Search (A9) Data critical data pipeline infrastructure from a 10 year complex legacy data stack on Hadoop-1.x/Pig infra to Cloud Native AWS Hadoop-2.x / Spark stack. This helped a) Reduce tremendous operational burden by deprecating self-managed clusters over 1000s of nodes. b) Bring over 20% net cost savings. c) Unblock innovation of new business use cases using modern big data frameworks like Spark.- Led the design, implementation and launch of a new data product by closely collaborating with Senior Principal Engineer and key stakeholders in Search. This data product helped reduced the latency of Search customer behavioral data from days to hours helping improve the ranking signals of new products on Amazon.- Delivered numerous features in various Search Data Platform Components like big data distribution platform, orchestration, pipeline management , privacy infrastructure, data pipeline scalability and reliability improvements.- Served as a subject matter expert across Search data and platform infrastructure, helping consult and advise Managers, Sr. Managers to drive tactical prioritization and long-term strategy in various product areas.
