I am associated as a Senior Consultant with Food and Agriculture Centre of Excellence (FACE) of CII. My forte is Food Safety and Quality. During my association with CII, now for about 8 years, initiated Food Safety and Quality activities at CII. My contributions include several training programmes by CII, Best Practices Sharing flagship annual Food Safety and Quality Summits, Close activities with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), Ministry of Food Processing Industries, various State Governments, IRCTC, NIFTEM, IGNOU, QCI and BIS as well. Represented Indian Food Processing Industry with the delegation of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries during the First Indo-EU Joint Working Group Meeting on Food Processing Industries at Brussels in Nov. 2006.Have contributed towards the curriculum development for B.Tech. and M.Tech. Courses of NIFTEM Have rich experience as an assessor of CII-EXIM Bank Award for several large and MNC companies. Along my team have developed the first Indian “CII Food Safety Award” in 2010. Since then many Food processing companies have participated and benefitted through this initiativeHave several publications to my credit like " Food Safety and Quality Guidelines for Hotels and Restaurants", "General Food Safety Tips", “CII-14 Point Check on Food Safety for Street Vended Food” and others. Ministry of Food Processing Industries Scheme for Street Food Vendors has largely been developed based on the “Comprehensive Plan” developed by my team for the Ministry. BIS has also received invaluable inputs from me and my team towards development of standards related to food hygiene and Food Safety.
