My role was to oversee the clinical manufacturing program at a Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) in India.- On-site technical resource supporting process development and manufacturing teams and point-of-contact for process- and time-critical tactical decision making- Managed campaigns to successfully deliver drug product for one indication resulting in FDA approvals for phases I and II, with phase III scale-up development on-going- Main conduit of technical and cultural communication between AOBiome Senior Management and CMO functional teams ensuring clear transmission of objectives- Maintain excellent rapport with CMO functional heads and floor personnel to sustain morale of execution team through demanding clinical trial requirements and timelines

The Bioprocess Center at WPI is a contract research facility that provides early stage and pre-clinical fermentation and purification process development services at bench- and intermediate-level scale for the biotech industry.- Under the supervision of Facility Director, led end-to-end service efforts from initial client meeting, determination of process fit, process design and technical proposal, execution, regular communication of data and progress, transfer of product/service deliverables and detailed report writing- Key contributor in developing fermentation and purification process for candidate drug that became Kalbitor, the first FDA-approved drug using the Pichia expression system

- Part of team (fermentation and assay development) that developed a novel technology for high yield cellulosic ethanol production that was licensed to California-based EdeniQ. Received inventor share of $25000 for the same.- Worked with industry experts from Abbott, Genzyme and Shire to set up the lab modules of a recurrent workforce retraining program called 'Fundamentals of Biomanufacturing' developed by the Corporate and Professional Development office at WPI.
