I am a Managing Consultant for the Insurance Industry who is passionate about improving the security of on-prem & cloud-based enterprise applications and infrastructure. I understand that giving less focus on security in the early stages of the development life cycle can lead to severe consequences in terms of more time & effort spent in remediation or implementing temporary mitigation and potential exposure to threats. Security begins with maintaining an up-to-date and complete inventory of all the configuration items within the IT ecosystem. Delivering solutions that provide the best user experience using the latest technology also requires thorough review to ensure security requirements are met. I have been involved in various initiatives that helped address these security aspects.My exposure in the application security space is in (but not limited to) application security consulting, vulnerability management, component lifecycle management, DevSecOps-automation, threat modelling, Static code scanning, Dynamic assessments, Web application firewalls, SIEMs, and more. This along with my testing background places me in a unique role of providing solutions that can improve IT security at the grassroots level. While my current focus is in the IT security area, I also carry 18 years’ experience in managing people, problem management lifecycle, business continuity management, managing Dev & QA projects, across different industries and domains.My passion is music, high end audio, DIY projects and I like spending time with my daughter and help her with her passions.
