Mr Deepak Kumar Sareen is the Executive Director of Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), India’s premier export promotion organization, having membership base of over 2300 high technology companies, in the field of IT and Electronics, sponsored by the Government of India.He has over 30 years of professional experience in several assignments related to foreign trade and development, market study and research, with over 25 years’ experience in export promotion of Computer Software, IT & Electronics. During his tenure with ESC, he has been assisting Indian IT exporters in their initial market development activities by providing Advisory Services concerning characteristics of market, niche areas for focused attention & business platforms.In the course of his experience with ESC, 40 Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) were institutionalized with counterpart organizations in target markets of export namely, USA, Canada, Japan, Russia, China, Israel, South Korea, Brazil etc. facilitating business and trade between exporters of India & various companies in these countries.He has represented ESC in several focused Committees of the Government & through his interface with industry, he has been influential in facilitating business relationships by providing valuable and important network to foreign companies, financial institutions, venture capital firms and specialized trade bodies & associations to facilitate strategic alliances, joint ventures, business collaborations and partnerships with Indian electronics and IT companies in different parts of the world.In addition, Mr Sareen has been engaged and involved in various assignments with the UN, WEF, JETRO, DIPO, CBI, The Netherlands, UKTI, US-IBC , SelectUSA,etc.Mr Sareen is a Bachelor in Engineering in Electronics & Communications, and a post-Graduate in Marketing Management from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi.
