Responsibilities and accomplishments:Launched the Treatment for Homeless Federal program that had remained unimplemented for six months after receiving the grant. . Hit the 80% benchmark of required client enrollments by SAMHSA within five months of the program implementation. Increased the enrollments in the Ryan White Mental Health Care program by 64% in the first three months of CY 2010, by designing and implementing targeted marketing and outreach. Reduced the "no-show" rates for psychiatry appointments by 61% over a four months period.Monitored integration of Behavioral Health, Primary Care, Housing and HIV Prevention within a three months timeline. Effectively advocated with each funder and executed budget modifications that resulted in the inclusion of Behavioral Health Services in the Electronic Health Records.Planned and maintained fiscal oversight on all budgets. The expansion increased utilization of services by 40% • Expanded Syringe/Needle Access Program: Established (2006) and executed the first hospital based syringe exchange program in the borough of Manhattan and the third in NYC. Created linkages with Harm Reduction Coalition to receive free staff trainings and guidance.• Opioid Overdose Prevention Program: Initiated (2007) and implemented the largest hospital- based Opioid Overdose Prevention Program in the nation, with forty physicians from the departments of Ambulatory Care, Psychiatry, Emergency, Internal Medicine and Virology participating in the project.
