❋ Carrying out Installation, connection, interfacing, commissioning, troubleshooting and maintenance of Navigation and Communication equipment on board ship as a Service engineer.❋ Upgrading the software of Navigation & Communication equipment to comply with latest regulations. ❋ Retrofit installation of equipment(such as GPS, VHF radio, MF/HF radio, Radar, ECDIS, INMARSAT C, VDR, AIS etc.)❋ Gyro compass overhauling & repairs of all the manufacturers (Anschutz, Sperry Marine, Yokogawa, Tokyo Keiki, Simrad etc.)❋ In depth knowledge of Furuno Electric equipment. ❋ Bridge equipment NAVCOM inspection❋ Speed log & Echo sounder transducer replacements. ❋ ECDIS repairs, system software upgrade, loading of license, charts & weekly updates❋ Working on serial communication RS 232, RS 422, NMEA, Digital, Analog & ethernet signals.❋ Remote support to customers & solving the technical problems remotely. ❋ Preparing quality service reports.❋ Analyzing the prerequisite of the sales & service call, accordingly preparing for the attendance and carrying necessary spare parts, tools & test equipment.❋ Analyzing of installation/retrofit projects and assisting the sales representative. ❋ Coordinating to clients & interdepartmental Coordination. ❋ Spare parts preparation and assisting to maintain fast moving spare parts.❋ Building customer relationship. Hands on Experience: ☛Radar, Chart Radar ☛Gyrocompass, Magnetic compass ☛ECDIS, MFD☛VDR, SVDR☛GPS, VHF radio ☛MF/HF(SSB) radio ☛AIS, PA ☛Speed log, satellite speed log ☛Echo sounder☛GMDSS, INMARSAT C, SSAS, LRIT, SART,EPIRB ☛Wind sensor ☛BNWAS☛PMR Radios & Repeaters
