Architected and designed one of the central microservice UFTM(Unicast Forwarding table Manager). Responsibilities include building highly scalable centralized Layer2/Layer3 cache. It involves interaction with various protocol(BGP, OSPF etc) services and with Manageability services(CLIs/APIs). The service aggregates routes(Macs/L3Routes/ARPs) coming from them, does best route selection and Installs entries towards Hardware and Kernel for DataPath and SoftPath Forwarding. It Also Publishes data to Manageability for streaming telemetry purposes.3. Architected and designed ARP/ND microservice. It is Responsible for managing and maintaining Neighbor(ARP/ND) cache built by both data plane learning(packets on wire) and Control plane learning(BGP-EVPN type2 routes, MCT). This cache is used for Nexthop resolution, hardware forwarding, ARP Snooping and ARP Suppression features.4. Provided training to team members on the packet processing architecture of Broadcom's Jericho2/XGS platforms, required for this project.Technologies and Environments used are Distributed Systems Arch, Golang, Openconfig Yang Data Model, GRPC, Protobuf, Microservices, Pub/Sub messaging Service, Redis, Docker, Delve, Spirent/Ixia, Github, CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins, Broadcom Trident3 and Jericho2 chipsets.

Layer3 Unicast and Multicast Bringup on Broadcom's Jericho 2 platform. Learnt Broadcom Jericho2 packet processing to understand various Hardware programming requirement for Layer3 and Multicast data path forwarding.3. Jericho 2 Hardware Resource Management using the MDB model. Jericho2 Platform provides unique capability to customize various hardware resources using its MDB compiler tool. Coordinated with PLMs to understand the scale requirements overall, and came up with the mdb profiles for our feature rich SLX-OS, to optimally satisfy various requirements to cater service provider market segment.4. Some experience in working with Linux TCP/IP Stack primarily on neighbor subsystem. Created a new kernel module which was responsible for proprietary enhancements on neighbor stack in context of Extreme's IP fabric based Data Center solutions.5. Was instrumental in debugging various customer escalations and root causing the issues.Technologies and Environments used were C Language, Gdb, Spirent/Ixia, Clearcase, Broadcom XGS and Jericho2 chipsets.
