The role of technology has evolved from being a "good to have" to being the fulcrum around which businesses are getting built on. With various advancements by both public and private sector, it is now possible for businesses to look at technology as a key function that helps them deliver better for both their internal and external stakeholders. My current role at kaleidofin is to offer such "technology led business solutions" for companies who are keen on deeper customer engagement in the areas of credit, payments and savings. In my last assignment I led the scale up of UC Inclusive Credit across various functions - An exciting journey of building the business from scratch – from getting the NBFC license to a full fledged operating company brimming with team, investee companies, and exciting opportunities. A journey that allowed me to not only get deeper insight into process optimization, technologies, and financial management of potential investee companies but also helped me appreciate entrepreneurial challenges of running a Company.Over the last 15 years I have had the opportunity to work closely with private sector enterprises, public sector enterprises and Government. The rich experience of working with Companies/ entities of different scales and motivations allowed me to understand and deliver different financial structuring options available within the current policy framework. A better part of my career has been spent working with inclusive companies in the areas of financial inclusion, education, healthcare, cleantech, agriculture and women empowerment. The evolution of the social enterprise/ impact investing sector as it exists today is certainly very different and positive from its early struggles.Start of my career was a with a mainstream debt investment bank where I helped many Corporates, CPSUs and SPUs raise various forms of debt capital from different types of institutions.
