Remained Director General of Police, HOME GUARDS and CIVIL DEFENSE, Gujarat heading the 40,000 strong Home Guards and Civil Defense Organization. This voluntary force was raised during the British Rule in India to assist the Police in controlling Civil Disturbances and Communal Riots, as a Citizens Force. Expert in Personnel Security and also vast experience in Vital Installation Security and Document Security. Apart from planning, organizing and supervising security systems has immense experience in performing oversight functions and has remained in charge of conducting evaluation and inspection of existing systems of all Vital installations in the country for several years, while working as Deputy Director Intelligence Bureau, Govt. of India. Dedication and ability to motivate and lead teams have resulted in being appointed time and again for prestigious Safety and Security related assignments both in the public domain and in the VVIP security field. Has been in charge of security arrangements of 4 Indian Prime Ministers as Deputy Director of the Special Protection Group. Has been the Chief Security Liaison Officer to Mrs.Hillary Clinton during her visit to India as First Lady of USA, in 1995. Also been the Chief Security Liaison Officer for Dr.Mahathir Mohamed, Prime Minister of Malaysia in 1993. Besides, performed exceedingly well in ensuring Safety and Security of civilian populations as Police Commissioner of two important Metropolitan cities – Surat and Vadodara.
