About Deepak Kapoor

Dr. Deepak A. Kapoor, Chairman and Chief Ecosystem Officer of Solaris Health Holdings, LLC headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is one of the youngest physicians to have been certified by the American Board of Urology. His medical background is diverse with both laboratory and clinical experience, both in the academic and private sectors. Dr. Kapoor´s expertise includes basic science research in molecular biology as well as extensive experience in oncologic and reconstructive surgery.Prior to his role with Solaris Health, Dr. Kapoor served as Chairman and CEO of Farmingdale, NY based Integrated Medical Professionals, PLLC (IMP), where he continues as President. During his tenure, IMP grew into the largest independent provider of urologic services in the United States, providing care to over a million patients in the greater NY metropolitan area. In addition to his duties with Solaris Health and IMP, IMP, Dr. Kapoor is Clinical Professor of Urology at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and is Chair of the AUA Independent Practice Research working group. He is Past President and Health Policy Chair of LUGPA of LUGPA (representing nearly 25% of all practicing urologists in the United States), is Chairman of SCRUBS RRG (the only national urology specific medical malpractice carrier), was a Director of UroPAC (the national political action committee representing the interests of the specialty of urology), founded the New York Urology Trade Association (representing the business interests of urology group practices in the State of New York), was Chairman of Access to Integrated Cancer Care, and is Founder and Past-President of the Integrated Medical Foundation. Dr. Kapoor is a Fellow of the American College of Physician Executives.Dr. Kapoor has published and lectured extensively on both clinical and business issues, and serves on a number of medical advisory boards, including the New York State Governor´s Prostate Cancer Advisory Panel. He is the winner of the AUA’s 2011 Ambrose-Reed Socioeconomic Essay Contest, the 2014, American Urological Association's New York Section Russell Lavengood Distinguished Service Award and in 2018 and 2023, was recognized by LUGPA for his outstanding contributions to health policy.
