As Acceptance Into Service (AIS) manager Deepak was responsible for ensuring that IT applications delivered to MOJ followed a defined Transition Into Service process designed to ensure that once live, the applications delivered their business benefits throughout their live operation lifecycle. This involved: • Undertaking gate reviews to ensure Design, Analysis, development & test phases are successfully completed, perform “Fit for Purpose Analysis” including budgeting underpinning for duration of live operations; • Appraising ICT service management head of progress and achievements against AIS gates including tracking of issues/risks, planned “corrective” actions and escalating as necessary when programme level resolution is impossible;• Attending Project Boards, Request for Change (RFC), Live Release Boards, Risk and Issue meetings, Post incident Review meeting, Rollout Review meetings.• Enhance the AIS Product Set and processes as part of continuous improvement Successful transition required acceptance from up to 14 different MOJ-ICT subject matter experts. I found workshops the best way of achieving acceptance across this group and while challenging, they have delivered tangible results much appreciated by the client. MCOBS, an application for online collection of court payments, was one such application that I am proud to have successfully transitioned into live service on time using this approach.
