From a young age, I've been captivated by the intricate world of life sciences. My academic journey led me to earn a Ph.D. in gastrointestinal cancer, where I developed a strong foundation in research and innovation. Through my work at various academic and commercial organizations, I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of scientific advancements and the critical need to ensure these innovations reach the patients who need them most.Recently as a postdoctoral fellow, I was focused on identifying therapeutic targets for hematological cancers. This experience deepened my understanding of how research translates into practical applications that can improve patient care. I am particularly interested in how medical affairs and market access strategies can facilitate this translation, making cutting-edge therapies accessible to broader populations.I thrive on collaboration and believe that effective communication is key to bridging the gap between scientific research and healthcare delivery. I am excited about opportunities that allow me to contribute to impactful strategies that enhance patient access to innovative therapies, ultimately improving health outcomes. In my spare time, I enjoy experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen and exploring nature with my family, activities that fuel my creativity and keep me grounded.

Phd StudentUniversity Of Hong Kong Jan 2014 - Dec 2018Hong Kongo Dysregulation of tissue microRNAs in colorectal cancer and their potential role as prognostic and predictive biomarkers Aimed towards the investigation of predictive, prognostic small non-coding RNAs in colorectal cancer to gain a specific and sensitive evaluation of the overall course of the disease to allow improved disease management. Key Results: (1) A novel tissue microRNA (miR-509-3p) was identified in colorectal cancer that was found to induce tumor cell proliferation, survival and development of metastasis in vitro and in vivo. (2) Expression of miR-509-3p was found to be significantly increased in primary tumor-adjacent normal tissues of colorectal cancer patients showing future recurrences/cancer progression while correlating with their 5-year survival and disease-free survival parameters. (3) miR-509-3p was found to promote lateral oncogenesis including cell proliferation, survival, and development of metastasis in vitro which was shown by indirect co-culture experiments. Functional techniques involved: Small RNA sequencing and data analysis, qPCR, molecular cloning, western blotting, functional assays including, cell proliferation, survival, migration, invasion, and co-culture assays as well as development and study of in vivo (mouse) tumor models. -
