It's been a wild multi-disciplinary design adventure since I graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad in 1995. Honestly, I never graduated from being in the thick of action, hands-on, when it comes to design and R&D. I shifted to Mumbai from NID in 1995, started Design Intervention in 1998, and then shifted to Goa in 2012 and set up Design Intervention - Goa branch. The Mumbai branch continues with my brother, Amit as the CEO of DI Mumbai. I've been fortunate to work with great partner-directors (Suresh Venkat, Warren Turner, Amit Pathania), clients and lead small but amazing teams, and designed and prototyped more than 2,500 ideas, from table-top products to electric vehicles and large marine structures, and won Awards and even Patents across varied industries.I believe constant multi-disciplinary design action is the magic potion for innovation. Since mid 2022, I have led the design development of a 5 seater VTOL, amphibious craft for Evdron (Singapore, UK).
