Dr. Deepak Paudel has more than 20 years of professional experience with multiple donors, international organizations, Ministry of Health, academia, and civil society in Nepal. Dr. Paudel served as the Chief of Party for Global Fund Program to combat TB, Malaria and HIV AIDS, and as Deputy Chief of Party for USAID-funded Strengthening Systems for Better Health Project. He also served as the Director of Health, Nutrition and HIV AIDS at Save the Children in Nepal; the Health Advisor for UK’s Department for International Development (DFID); the Senior Program Management Specialist at USAID Nepal; and the Community Health Specialist at CARE Nepal. Dr. Paudel has excellent network and relationships with the Nepal’s Ministry of Health and Population, major health sector development partners and academia. Dr. Paudel led and managed complex and large-scale projects focusing health systems, governance, and financing in Nepal. Dr. Paudel holds a PhD in International Health from the University of Ludwig Maxmilians in Munich, Germany and a Master’s in Public Health from Tribhuvan University in Nepal. He is fluent in Nepali and English.
