Warehouse operations were observed and inventory management ideas were suggested to the KD2 warehouse and container yard to improve the efficiency and optimization. A broad and in depth knowledge on the subject of logistics and supply chain management has been gained and a trip sheet was prepared to track the movement of the trucks throughout the plant. Our main objective was to eliminate MUDA inside the warehouse by eliminating unwanted movement and storage waste. This inventory waste was eliminated by studying various types of rack system and designing a drive-through rack system specifically for KD2 warehouse dimensions.
