Founder @ Circuits2Robotics.Our mission is simple, but unique, and useful: Make Tomorrow's Makers.Day in and day out - our kids interact with technology. TV, iPad, iPhone, bluetooth, wifi, Netflix, Pixar, XBox, Chromebook, more... technology is central to how they experience the world and interact with it. All this stuff - there's so much of it, and it's everywhere. There's so much to hook kids and keep them there. Watching, listening, consuming. And so: do we want our children to become merely consumers of technology?Or - might we equip them to see technology as something they comprehend, and not mindlessly consume? Circuits2Robotics teaches kids to become Makers - of their own inventions, robots, stuff they can interact with - while being challenged, and having fun.Program is built from an engineer’s perspective, from the core idea that to really make kids into makers, not consumers - they need to understand technology in layers. The core idea summarizes into this equation:Robotics = Electronics + Coding + MechanicsAnd so Circuits2Robotics educates kids in each of these three foundational blocks from the ground-up, from the very basics and then to bring the three layers together to build their own machines, projects and robots. That move. That do stuff. That interact with them and the world. They have fun, and become Makers.I am an engineer by background, I worked in software engineering for ten years, most of it with IBM, during which time I was also awarded ‘The Best of IBM’.
