I am currently working on a mixed-methods evaluation of a sports-based psychosocial support intervention for Syrian refugees in the Za’atari camp in Jordan. I am also evaluating a play-based mental health and psychosocial support training conducted by the MHPSS Collaborative for preschool and primary school teachers across Ukraine.

In this role, I worked on: 1. a study investigating the well-being of Yazidi children with disabilities in the aftermath of the 2014 genocide, 2. the development, implementation, and evaluation of a child and family MHPSS course for frontline workers in emergencies, and 3. a multi sectoral funding analysis for MHPSS in humanitarian settings (for the IASC Reference Group on MHPSS).

1) A mixed methods evaluation of a WHO-led mental health and psychosocial support program for conflict-affected youth in Somalia2) Key informant consultations and advocacy and dissemination package for a UNICEF-funded project on developing a mental health & psychosocial support (MHPSS) toolkit for children associated with armed forces and armed groups (CAAFAG).3) Scoping exercise and planning of a UNICEF-funded child & family MHPSS course for frontline workers supporting children and families in humanitarian settings.4) Statistical modelling of mental health measures for depression, generalised anxiety, perceived stress & pandemic anxiety with complex survey data collected in Nigeria and co-authored the report.5) Evidence review on the disruptions in routine immunization services for vaccine-preventable diseases on account of the COVID-19 pandemic and other disruptive events (historical) in 5 countries.6) Evidence review on the impact acute and long COVID-19 on cardiovascular health outcomes.7) Evidence review to compare the effectiveness of surgical and conservative treatment approaches for meniscal and rotator cuff injuries.8) Evidence review on the Health Technology Assessment and reimbursement processes for rare diseases in 7 countries from Europe and Asia Pacific.9) Evidence review on innovation and patient experience linked to bleeding disorders management

Conducted & published a scoping review of the digital health competencies for health professionals in partnership with the World Health Organization, and a narrative review of the continuous professional development market for health professionals (also for the WHO). Assisted in data collection for a digital screening tool for mental health of university students, and a literature review for a digital health literacy intervention designed for people with diabetes.

Conducted qualitative research projects for Kantar IMRB, Millward Brown, Ipsos and Nielsen. Responsibilities included: drafting research proposals, designing research tools (e.g. discussion guides), conducting fieldwork in urban and semi-urban settings (focus groups, in-depth interviews, observations & ecological momentary assessments); data analysis and report writing.

Managed a team of researchers and assisted in business development (drafting research proposals, client management).
