I am a passionate and results-driven professional with over a decade of experience in neuroscience, neurobiology, developmental biology, and molecular biology. My career to date has been oriented toward the discovery of new therapeutic targets, with particular interest in the areas of neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders. I genuinely thrive in dynamic and interdisciplinary research environments that require critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork.As a Scientist at the Allen Institute for Brain Science, I presently lead multi-disciplinary research projects that investigate the functional characterization of enhancer sequences with a mission to improve cell type-specific targeting. My work combines large-scale data analysis with hands-on expertise in brain delivery methods, including stereotactic surgeries and retro-orbital injections, with the aim of understanding neurological processes.I am proficient in managing and mentoring research teams, with proven experience driving or executing complex projects on time. I have developed novel data analysis pipelines in tools such as MATLAB and R and created interactive data visualization tools using R-Shiny, enhancing the accessibility and exploration of large datasets.My inspiration throughout the arc of my career has been to make a difference in people's lives through clinical research.
