Deepa, a NIFT post graduate has 24+ years of extensive experience in Design, Production, Retail & Marketing in the Fashion & Textile industry and significant exposure to Indian handicrafts, corporate/ sports merchandise consultancy.After 13+ years in Corporate world with last two being COO roles, Deepa launched SVATANYA, a Responsible Creative Crafts Design enterprise that empowers underprivileged women by upskilling them to make handcrafted products, under label - AMARYN. This helps the women Earn & Learn. With Environmental consciousness as a core value, up/recycled textile raw material and stock fabrics are used to minimize carbon footprint, To provide regular training and livelihood to women, SVATANYA Foundation was set up. AMARYN Care was launched to gift soft toys to terminally ill underprivileged children in hospitals. The soft toys handcrafted by women help them get trained & earn, while bringing joy to children.
