I am currently working at the University of Waterloo as a researcher, primarily focussing on packaging technology for developing BGA-based flip chip antennas and interposer RFIC designs. Prior to my current position, I was an RF/mmWave R&D Hardware Engineer working in the mmWave research domain at Keysight Technologies. My work included MMIC passive co-design of System in Packages (SiP) in state-of-the-art Keysight instruments such as VNA, PNA, ENA, PXIs and oscilloscopes.I have extensive knowledge of active and passive RF circuits. My research career has focused primarily on wireless communications and satellite applications. I was involved in two SBIR-STTR projects at DARPA and NASA Goddard Spaceflight Center, developing antenna subsystems for long-range imaging in Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites and developing metasurface antennas for Lunar soil moisture sensing.Research interests: -> Design of antenna subsystems for satellites-> Multi-band planar passive RF circuits such as impedance matching networks, power dividers, filters, etc.-> RF Power Amplifier: Both PCB and MMIC based-> RF energy harvesting-> RF in IoT applications-> Antennas and metasurfaces for advanced communication-> Reconfigurable smart surfacesAssets: Technical Skills and Expertise--> Good knowledge in RF/mmWave front-end design, simulation and analysis-> Strong expertise in filter design and implementation skills using lumped and distributed techniques with GeneSys and other synthesis tools-> Modeling and synthesis of electromagnetic structures-> RF circuit design - passive and active (RF power amplifiers)-> RF optimization-> MMIC technology for RF components-> Multi-layer interposer design-> Signal integrity/Power Integrity at the PCB/MMIC levelTransferable Skills--> Research and analysis-> Scientific and technical writing-> Teamwork-> Problem solving and analytical thinking-> Teaching-> Leadership and mentoringScholar: https://scholar.google.ca/citations?user=-gFkTCYAAAAJ&hl=enORCiD: https://orcid.org/0000-0002-7972-9878 Publons: https://www.webofscience.com/wos/author/record/V-5396-2019

R&D Hardware EngineerKeysight Technologies Oct 2022 - Sep 2024MMIC-passive co-design of System in Packages (SiP), Wafer verification, Layout vs Schematic (LVS), mmWave processes for oscilloscopes, network analyzers, calibrators, frequency extenders and other leading measurement instruments for 6G. My current roles and responsibilities include:1. Designing and retuning of Advanced Passive RF (Radio Frequency) Circuit components based on Keysight’s latest interposer technology for applications in oscilloscope, network analyzer and calibrator projects. 2. Implementing the Architectural design of System in Packages (SiPs) for several RF front-end modules. This includes tasks like schematics, layouts, floor planning, Layout vs Schematic (LVS) checks and other critical steps prior to submission at the fab house. 3. Develop test plans for testing and debugging RF/mmWave circuits and systems4. Routinely inspect and verify the fabricated dices for puddling, spillage, disconnected lines and other manufacturing defects/failures that might have occurred in the fabrication process. 5. Thermal analysis of IC parts and modeling them from rigorous to simplified structures for studying the thermal performance of the SiPs. 6. Assisting the library team with designing IC footprints and implementing a robust LVS strategy for upcoming projects at Keysight.7. Conducting and attending as an integral part of design reviews. -
