After gaining extensive experience in the renewable energy industry and co-founding and building a business, I co-founded and took on the role of CEO at Enact in 2014. We now have the #1 cloud software platform for solar and storage, with thousands of users across more than 20 countries.Enact has grown by leaps and bounds during the past couple of years, almost quadrupling the size of our staff. Our people are customer-focused problem solvers who are concerned with sustainability and doing good for our planet. I trust them, and I make sure they have the space and data they need to operate at their best and make sound decisions.It’s vastly important to me that I share with our clients the insights I have developed and how things can be done better to improve their outcomes. We develop long-term relationships through our shared goal of increasing their success.After beginning my career in the automotive industry, developing new products and leading manufacturing launches for Chrysler, I moved to Roland Berger, the leading strategy consulting firm based in Germany, where I led strategy on new energy technologies for large firms and startups. Much of my focus was on electric vehicle (EV) transportation, charging, and battery storage startups, and here, I truly discovered renewable energy, its promise, and its importance.I next joined one of Europe’s leading suppliers of solar energy systems, and after proving to be an effective leader, I was offered the opportunity to co-found a subsidiary for the North American market. While creating and growing that company, I learned what worked and what didn’t. I made mistakes, I learned from them, and I did better. In less than four years, I led the company from ground zero to annual sales of $30M in more than 25 US states. This opportunity and its success were a turning point for me and gave me confidence that I could find similar success building a company of my own.But I didn’t want to start just any company, I wanted to start one that would both be highly scalable and profitable, and also help make our world a better place. Enact evolved from discussions with a like-minded friend, and while we’re still growing and expanding into new markets, I couldn’t be more proud of our achievements or more excited for our continuing journey.On an even more personal note, I am a passionate musician and avid sitar player with a Sangeet Visharad degree in Indian Classical Music (equivalent to a Bachelors degree in Music).
