Deepesh Kholwadwala is the President & CEO of Dreamcatcher Hotel Group and Sun Capital Hotels with expertise in hotel feasibility, planning, financing, construction, and operations. Deepesh is the Candlewood Suites Chairman, IHG Owners Board Officer, New Mexico Lodging Association Board of Director, First American Bank Advisory Board Executive, Capital CDC Board of Director, and has proudly served as the La Quinta Brand Council from 2006-12.About Deepesh:Deepesh graduated from Purdue University and holds a Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was hired by the National Nuclear Security Administration Lab in Albuquerque where he reached level Q access. Early in his career, Deepesh was appointed principal investigator to lead several Russian R&D projects in order to prevent weapon engineers from migrating to neighboring countries after the Cold War. Deepesh climbed the corporate ladder at the Labs and became a principal member at a young age. He holds patents in applications for Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, has received the R&D 100 Award [dubbed as the Oscars of Innovation], and he was the recipient of Individual Leadership Award. Deepesh was reorganized as an outstanding contributor in developing new methods in solving complex engineering problems. In 2003, Deepesh raised capital and structured a successful launch of a hotel company from talents acquired from his father. He gradually ramped down his engineering career to pursue this new passion. Today, Deepesh owns Hilton, Marriott, IHG, La Quinta franchised hotels throughout New Mexico and manages award winning hotels by deriving rigor from his systems engineering background. He works side by side with his management team to provide leadership in upholding the company’s mission to provide guests unrivaled and exceptional levels of hospitality.
