Working with a local charity which supports mental wellbeing through various arts activities, the role of Music Tutor provides an opportunity for participants to learn guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and music theory. With this, they gain confidence, build relationships, gain new skills and develop their instrument playing capabilities. Participants over the years have formed bands and have recieved support in recording and performing their music.

The Deep Fried Film Festival is something new! We raise money for charity by tapping in to the amazing depth of talent of independent film makers. By using the Festival to raise money and awareness of various charities we are able to in turn raise the profile of independent cinema and bring a new audience to festivals. In order to do this we have to work as a media training organisation as well. I myself worked as a video editor for years and understand how it feels to be on the other side of the film maker film festival divide, which is why we actively encourage involvement in the festival from all film makers and tried to be as a transparent as possible with everything we do. I don't make films, I gave that up when I started the festival seeing it as a conflict of interest. It was by sheer accident that I found my calling. I was an okay editor but I'm much better at shouting from the roof top about how fantastic other people are and hopefully in some small way I can help or at least be able to watch them grow as artist and reap the rewards so many of them richly deserve.
