As Indian Tax Department (ITD) is moving to a centralized processing of the Income Tax Returns, with a centralized Data Centre and Central Database, it has become imperative that mechanisms are put in place to ensure 100% on time and accurate centralized processing of the TDS/TCS returns, without which, it will not be possible to accurately process the Income Tax Returns filed by the Tax Payers (Deductee). Processing of TDS/TCS statements involves identification and rectification of defaults like Short Deduction, Short Payment, Late Deduction, Late payment, Late Filing etc.Role Description• Performing Backend Testing and verifying that the values (Tax, Interest, fine etc.) are getting calculated properly.• Preparation of test strategy, test plan, test cases and test scenarios based on the requirement.• Setup basic test data required to execute the tests.• Client communication and status update.• Sending Daily and Weekly Status Reports to the Onsite Counterpart.• Report and track defects in defect tracking tool JIRA.

Resurgence Project aims to introduce new products and combine the insurance products from the acquired company in a revamped platform. The various applications integrated as part of resurgence would cater to end to end business, including functionalities such as, New Business, Underwriting, Policy Admin, Commissions, Correspondence, Claims and Reporting. I was in module leading the complete Illustrator and a part of reporting stream and was responsible for Test Case Design, Review, Test case preparation, Test case execution, Defect management and co-ordination with various Business and Technology analysts at client site.Role Description• Analysing the Business Requirement Document.• Creating Test scenarios and Test Case Preparation.• Executed the Test cases to perform system integration testing, conducted regression testing on identified defects and interacted with developers to resolve the issues.• Preparing and reviewing Requirement Traceability Matrix.• Logging defects in Quality center.• Prepare System Appreciation Document for Project related information & conduct knowledge sharing sessions with the team.Rewards & Recognition:• Received several appreciations from clients for the quality of the work and delivery/sign-off of the critical releases well within the time limits.

This was a data migration project. This project dealt with the testing of the web application in French Language for its migration from VB.NET to C#. This project involved functional testing and Database verification of the application E-Benefit before and after code migration. We used to create different Test Cases using an Infosys tool (IP Product of Infosys for Requirements Gathering & Analysis) and then we generate the test cases using FTGen (Functional test case generator) tool. The project mainly made use of the Iterative model of delivery. I was largely involved in System Testing (which encompasses Functional Testing), Integration Testing and Regression Testing of the application using RQM and an Infosys tool for requirement gathering and analysis. This was the core testing approach used for testing all applications. Involved in code coverage tracking using AQ time tool.Role Description• Prepare test scenarios and Test cases.• Execute test cases and Raise defects. • Help Senior Test Analysts/ Test Leads in report generation with required information.• Escalate issues and risks to Test Leads / Test Managers.• Part of Defect Prevention and Root Cause Analysis activities.

• This project involved Functional Testing and Database verification of the various enhancements in a Policy Administration application cutting across the various modules like Policy Input, Underwriting, customer insurance maintenance etc.• The system involved a suite of applications that are used to create and maintain life insurance policies. This basically is the life insurance front end of project and consists of applications used by different agents to collect policy information and other applications to perform maintenance of life insurance policies.• The project mainly made use of the Waterfall model and the entire process from Requirements Gathering, High Level Design, Detailed Design, Coding, and the corresponding levels of testing were followed. Role Description:• I was involved in System Testing (which encompasses Functional Testing) & Regression Testing of the application using Quality Center and Database Testing using TOAD. This is the core testing approach used for testing all applications.• Review requirements and analyse requirements, Clarify with Business Analysts etc• Prepare test cases, Test data and test execution.• Involved in automation script execution• Raise defects and review defects to reduce invalid defectsRewards & Recognition:• Received Star Award for testing by Infosys.• Got Bravo award from client (Allstate) for 2 critical projects.
