• Costing, Turnover and budget planning• Customer service Management- Assist in establishing and enhancing business relationship with customers through provision of quality customer service to maximize business growth.• Vendor Management- identifying and screening suppliers for a particular product category and working with existing vendors towards delivering better quality and cost through specialization • Product development-provide inputs on product design to meet customer’s buying objectives.• Logistic support and Planning buyers visits--Planning buyers itinerary during visit to source market-Coordination with suppliers on presentation of merchandise -Pre selection of merchandise to suit buyer’s requirements-To understand and advise buyer on existing buying trends-To advise buyers on the production capabilities and capacity of the vendors• Team overview -Assist in supervising the team’s merchandising activities in the entire order process to ensure customer satisfaction and on time delivery.-negotiate and finalize prices with the vendors-assign orders to factories and vendors-discuss with technicians regarding technical problems-resolve conflicts between buyers and factories.-frequent vendor visits in order to monitor production and to keep abreast of the latest fashion trends.
