Over the past 16 years it’s been a great honor and privilege to serve in the Navy as both a Hospital Corpsman and a Nurse Corps Officer. I have cared for patients in multiple areas in hospital environments many parts of the world. I have worked in the critical care environment for over six years which has afforded me the opportunity to attain my critical care certification and hone my critical care skills. I have meticulously cared for critically ill patients requiring post-operative care, hemodynamic monitoring, ventriculostomy, vasoactive drip titration and mechanical ventilation. I am confident these skills and my deployment experience as a Trauma Nurse to Djibouti, Africa will serve me well both clinically and academically.
