Biotechnology professional who completed doctoral studies from BITS Pilani university and eager to leverage this research experience towards development of innovative biotechnological products/ services. Research scientist with extensive experience in Protein purification, Microbiology, Mammalian cell culture, Molecular biology, Enzyme technology, Bioinformatics, and other biotechnological aspects. PhD thesis was entitled 'Bioprospecting of halophilic organisms from Indian salterns'. In the course of my research work, experiments related to the characterization of carotenoids from halophilic organisms and their antioxidant activity, cell culture experiments with human cell lines (IMR 32, HaCaT, A549, HeLa) and primary cell line from chick embryo; metal resistance studies (bulk metal and nanoparticle form) in halophilic archaeal organisms; Isolation of hydrolytic enzymes from novel marine sources and partial purification and characterization of these enzymes were carried out.
