With over 30 years of expereince in the Power Distribution Utility sector I am passionate, enthusiast and vocal about accelarating energy efficiency,energy transition and decarbonisatuon. Have a huge experience in conceving, conceptualising and executing energy efficency projects in Agriculture,Industrial ,Domestic and Non Domestic sectors.Have been one of the pioneers in India in the field of Agriculture Demand side management and Pump efficiency.Have a proven track record of successfully implementing the Roof top solar and the Kusum Scheme of MNRE in the utility so as to decentralise the Energy generation and hence take forward the greening of Utility portfolio and deburden the utility from shortage of power and T&D losses.With a strong Academic background in Electrical Engineering and a sound knowledge of IT have been a key enabler in exceuting the numerous IT projects in the Discom.Have successfully carried out many research and studies and developement of tools to efficiently optimize the integration of renewable energy resources for smooth and stablized working of the grid.Also as certified enegy auditor implemeted the Perform Achieve and Trade Scheme of BEE.An avid reader and orator have always represented the State in all National wokshops ,seminars and panel discussions .With my new roles and responsibilities of heading the Rural Electrification Deptt. my mission is to improvise the living and lives of the Rural fraternity with reliable and good quality of power and also relieve the Utility with the burden of T&D losses and shortage of power by roping in the immense potential of DRE(Distributed Energy Resources) and Energy efficiency by bringing in the use of my vast experience and expertise in these domains and hence pave ways to meet India's commitment to achieve Net Zero and carbon neutrality and thus also carry forward my mission of women empowerment and sustainable developement and climate action.
