Staff Scientist
CurrentDr. Dhiraj Kumar Singh is a Staff Scientist at Southwest National Primate Research Center and Texas Biomedical Research Institute working in Tuberculosis (TB) immunology. Dr. Singh’s research is focused on T cell immunity in TB and TB-SIV coinfection and its applications for developing novel immunotherapeutics and vaccines. Dr. Singh has extensive experience in using non-human primate, murine and human models of TB for identification and validation of targeted immunomodulation for treating primary TB infection and enhancing BCG vaccination. In the wake of the current COVID-19 pandemic, he is utilizing his expertise and experience in immunology for assessing therapeutic and preventive interventions against COVID-19.
