As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient physical therapy clinic, I covered for the absence of two clinicians, managing a full caseload of patients with diverse needs. 8-week Clinical Internship working with two manual physical therapists to provide personalized one-on-one care, with manual therapy focus, in privately owned outpatient clinics in Paia and Kahului. Routinely evaluated and treated individuals recovering from orthopedic and neurologic impairments, including post-operative rehabilitation, general deconditioning, stroke rehabilitation, balance deficits, gait impairments and a number of other pathologies. Treatments included stretching, body mechanics education, electrical stimulation, balance training, gait training, strengthening, and a heavy focus on manual therapy utilizing joint mobilizations, soft tissue massage and the fascial distortion model.

8-week Clinical Internship at therapist-owned, private orthopedic and sports medicine physical therapist practice. Evaluated and treated adult outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine patients with diverse diagnoses including post-surgical and knee patients, RTC impingement, lumbar and cervical pain, degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, and fractures with significant autonomy. Parallel to supervising Physical Therapist, responsible for the management and treatment of patients, supervision of support staff, documentation of services, and correspondence with physicians. Treatments included manual therapy, joint mobilizations, ROM, stretching, strengthening, electrical stimulation, and soft-tissue mobilizations.

Under the supervision and alongside a veteran Physical Therapist, completed 8-week Clinical Internship on 50-bed acute wing of the only Medicare rated 5-star rehabilitation hospital in Atlantic County. Assisted patients who were recovering from highly debilitating neurological and orthopedic deficits. Worked alongside extensive rehabilitation team including physicians, nurses, nursing assistants, physician assistant, occupational therapists, physical therapists, PTAs, and physical therapy technicians.
