As an inventor-for-hire, invented everything from a brain surgery catheter (Imperative Care), to a surgical camera that can visualize fluorescent nanoparticles (which were being used to detect cancerous tissue).

Every minute one child and one adult die from malaria. We have developed a technology that has the potential to help rid the world of this dreaded disease. We are building a device that for the first time is portable, cheap, fast, and sensitive at unprecedented levels.

The Future of Digital Paint.

Led cross-functional team integration of multi-million-dollar automation project, developing concepts, and capturing, tracking, and eliminating risk on over 100 details. Developed concept 10x faster than customer's proposal resulting in a purchase order moving them from $150k request to $500k sale. Developed and built a bench-top patentable prototype with >99.9% yield of an automated parts pick method that was improvement over customer's machine that had a >30% failure rate. Analysed customer assembly line and proposed a buffering method that saved over $3M. Discovered a flaw in customer's weld test methodology that could give erroneous and undetectable results and developed a 100% reliable low-cost fast IR inspection method . Developed and initiated a zero-error machine wiring system that can take a wiring task from 2 hours to 1 minute. Initiated pilot program for cloud-based best-practices task/project management software.

Managed a team to maintain and upgrade existing metrology tools and build new ones. Recently built an infrared imaging tool that integrated lasers, high-power LEDs, stepper motors, custom electronics, sensors, signal generators, and a FLIR IR camera using c# with a GUI I wrote myself.

Invented the company's break-through method of prostate surgery as first VP of R&D. Discoverer of the method of using a high-pressure atomized water spray to ablate and remove tissue.

Coached CEO’s on effective management practices.

Primary inventor of a super-scalable post-CMOS transistor. Worked in the cleanroom on all phases of process equipment. Developed complex process flows. Recruited and led a team of process and device engineers and technicians to produce working prototypes and numerical simulations. Wrote numerous patents. Developed the technology from concept to the lab to SEMATECH’s manufacturing environment where it is being developed today in a sub-50 nm process.

Performed independent research on advanced semiconductor devices and advised graduate students.

Investigations of surface plasmon photonics including nanofabrication with e-beam and FIB and measurements of optical transmission through sub-wavelength aperture arrays in metal films.

Growth, nanofabrication, and measurement of novel superconductors and devices. MBE, built CNC laser machining system, cryogenics, low-noise measurements and signal detection, low-noise electronic circuits. Area of investigation included: Transport in Ultrathin Films at the Superconductor-Insulator Transition; Quantum Phase Transition in Strontium Titanate; Spin-Polarized Transport in Ferromagnet/Superconductor Heterostructures; and Molecular Conductivity.

Invented first solid-state relay (Ultra-low RDS-ON);Process Engineer, Small-Signal Si and GaAs Transistor Group: Developed self-aligned process saved $500,000/yr.;Failure Analysis Engineer, Semiconductor Analytical Laboratory. Solved metal adhesion problem with Auger and process analysis.
