Contributing to and implementing communication and media strategies for new and existing clients. When implementing communication and media strategies my main responsibilities reside in event management, writing and media relations. Writing and media relations revolved around these various events. The responsibilities included writing media invites, inviting media and handling RSVPs, writing press releases, issuing them, event listings and compiling press packs. Facilitate media interviews, profiling media suited for media engagement and pitches. Compile and research content for story ideas for annual story calendar, research and compile press releases according to the calendar. Compile press releases and events uploads according to the annual calendar. Profile suited media and influencers to invite and engaging with clients. Facilitate the media’s engagement with the client. Manage media queries on various platforms – via face-to-face, telephonic or via email. Compile various media lists as well as profiling the relevant media to engage with. Work on annual reviews and plans for upcoming year. Profiling consumer magazines and develop PR activities. Interagency collaboration with other agencies for media coverage. Attend meetings with the client management team.

At the end of 2010 I left the group to pursue studies in Public Relations Management and in 2012 I was asked to return to my post. I was working full time and studying both full and part time making it possible for me to have completed my course in three years. The Cape Town Campus closed down and I was retrenched. I then left end of 2012 to start my internship with Corporate Image in 2013.
