I am a self-motivated Interior Decorator raised in Toronto and working in Ottawa. I aspire to own my own business like some of my mentors including Sarah Kidder, who I did my co-op with during school. During my education I was head of the Graduation Comity as well as being the Class Rep for my year of the program. Some of my strong suits I have obtained from my schooling are project management, product knowledge, and client work.In my first semester of college I was offered a part-time job at the Richcraft Design Centre as a Design Assistant. I worked there for over a year and a half until I was promoted to Junior Designer, where I would take several appointments with clients, take over appointments for my coworkers, and work directly with sales agents to sell more houses for the company. I've learned a lot about client work from this position; learning how to problem solve and to compromise with difficult clients.One of the largest and most influential projects I have corresponded was the Interior Decorator's Graduation Show, which is a networking gathering for industry individuals to meet the new graduates of the Interior Decorating program. This event was a 150+ person show at the Orange Gallery. The Grad Comity orchestrated and fund-raised for the event with participation from the class.
