Key functions included:- Managing a client list in excess of 150 IBEC member companies, advising on all aspects of industrial relations, human resources and employment legislation through on-site visits, telephone support and e-mail correspondence.- Frequent, successful representation of a large number of clients before Labour Court, Employment Appeals Tribunal, Rights Commissioner, Labour Relations Commission and Equality Tribunal.- Designed, developed and assisted with the implementation of HR Policies, procedures and systems for member companies- Delivered numerous training interventions on IBEC, HETAC and DIT programs in the areas of industrial relations and employment law.Employment Law & Industrial Relations duties: - Keeping abreast and informed of changes in employment and other relevant legislation and best practice.- Providing concise advice and guidance to member companies on compliance with developments in legislation.- Representing member companies before third party forums.- Negotiating with trade unions.- Advising member companies on best practice industrial relations.- Ensuring member companies are compliant with employment legislation and best practice in human resources & industrial relations.Human Resources duties: - Developing employment contracts/ employment handbooks for member companies in line with best practice and legislation.- Crisis management advice and support to companies in industrial relations and employee relations matters- Offering solution orientated advice to complex HR situations
