About Deirdre Neely

Financial liaison between management, marketing, division management and accounting for all departments, specifically case goods. Worked directly with VP of sales (case goods) to ensure profitably on a per case basis. Salespersons were provided with only COGS. I created a product line Excel spreadsheet to provide knowledge to the salespeople as to what the "true" cost was. I assisted with monthly financial closing, reconciling items to match general ledger plus variance analysis for presentation to management via PowerPoint & Excel spreadsheets. My other duties included monthly departmental wide variance reports, reconciliation to G/L. I assisted with 1year, 5 and rolling current year budgets. I interacted with IT to provide timely expense vs. budget reports and I was able, with the help of IT, to eliminate the middle step of inputting G/L into Excel and create a variance report straight from IT. I was elected to participate in a company wide focus committee to collaborate on streamlining reports straight from IT instead of a loss of company time, money and accuracy inputting data into Excel. This is a wonderful company to work for.
