    - Crafted the Hard-to-Fill Locations report that CBP HRM used as briefing material at the executive and congressional level. The report was a living document that included data and reporting on every location that CBP HRM determined to be difficult to fill with enough agents and officers. I conducted online research to provide the data and research that would tell the story as to why an agent or officer would not be willing to work at specific border locations. The binder I compiled was presented to the executive director of PPAE at HRM and became reference material to brief members of Congress as to why certain locations were more challenging to adequately staff- Authored a report on machine and deep learning that was accepted as a possible solution to CBP’s staffing challenge and served as basis for executive and management knowledge of the technology and how CBP HRM might leverage it. CBP’s border workforce was under the quota as determined by the Obama administration when the Trump administration took office in 2017. The Trump administration increased the staffing threshold by 25%, giving HRM a significant challenge, especially as approximately 1/83 applicants makes it through the background check and hiring process. To satisfy the new threshold, CBP HRM considered innovative ways by which we could find new and qualified talent. In response, I wrote a report on how HRM could leverage Machine and Deep Learning technology to meet hiring needs and increase the number of qualified applicants to staff our border that was presented to executive directors.
