About Deirdre Reddan

I help parents and family members to understand the important role that they play in their loved one’s eating disorder recovery and I teach them the tools and techniques to provide help and support. I do this by:• helping them to understand the eating disorder illness better• giving them the tools and techniques they need to better support their child - no matter their age• helping them feel listened to, understood and supportedParents and family members deserve support too - it is a crisis. Supporting parents to support their loved one can help to accelerate the recovery process and has been proven to be twice as effective as working with the person directly. I also work with individuals who have developed a problematic relationship with food, helping them to transform their relationship both with food and with themselves through positive behavioural change. I am passionate about helping people to foster (and role model) a healthy relationship with food, weight and body image and I love giving talks on this topic!
