Hello! My name is Deirdre Spainhour, and I am a hardworking, detail-oriented, creative, and analytically-minded recent college grad. While in college, I maintained a 4.0 GPA and completed 192 credit hours (17.2 hours a semester on average, plus 20 credits earned in high school). I graduated with two Bachelor degrees: a BS in Mathematics and a BA in Music. My math degree taught me how to think clearly and precisely, how to organize information effectively, and how to discuss complex topics with people of varying backgrounds. My music degree taught me how to work in a team, how to handle a heavy workload and structure my day to meet short and long term goals, and how to synthesize a wide range of information in order to give a well-interpreted performance. During my time at college I also had the opportunity to take leadership and communication courses, and to practice these skills as a Section Leader in the University choir and a participant/finalist in the Persuasion Contagion speech contest.When I have free time, I enjoy creating things that allow me to combine my various interests, such as crocheting a blanket based on mathematical principles, or designing a cipher that encodes a secret message within a musical composition. I also love to read, do puzzles, and watch Star Wars movies.
