As Director of Nova Scotia Programs, I work closely with our local partners and volunteers to keep rivers cold, clean, and flowing free. I am active at both the federal and provincial level, advocating for sound environmental decisions that will benefit wild Atlantic salmon and their natal waters.Founded in 1948, ASF’s focus remains constant - to conserve and to protect wild Atlantic salmon. Headquartered in New Brunswick, Canada, ASF oversees a network of seven state and provincial councils, and 103 affiliated groups. Altogether we represent more than 25,000 members and volunteers.ASF conducts research on wild salmon throughout the North Atlantic, performs complex river restoration projects and advocates on behalf of Wild Fish and Wild Rivers.Internationally, ASF negotiates conservation agreements with commercial fishermen in places like Greenland and the Faroe Islands.www.asf.ca
