About Deirdre Laframboise

Offering decades of senior executive management experience earned from leading five, national, member-based not for profit organizations. I am proficient in strategic planning, organizational change, program development, board of directors management, stakeholder relations, and marketing/communications. I am self-motivated and future-oriented, while remaining focused on achieving targets and performance indicators.I co-founded and led a national charity recognized with Canadian and international awards for innovative programming at the intersection of environmental and health issues. The initiatives resulted in measurable behavioral changes among thousands of Canadians and significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions. I also secured and managed long-term sponsorships with Fortune 500 companies and public sector grants, amassing over $8 million in revenue. As the executive lead for three national non-profits, I guaranteed the successful delivery of programs amidst significant internal system and process transformations, including HR, digital, marketing, and financial operations. My role involved establishing and solidifying new strategic partnerships, executing government relations strategies, securing revenues, developing and promoting national membership models, managing crucial enhancements to communication plans, and significantly elevating brand profiles across various media platforms. While I am driven by goals, I place high value on the relationship-building aspect of business. Collaborating with others is the key to growth and enriching our knowledge and sense of wonder. My experience serving on several high-profile national advisory committees has offered profound insights into sector-specific silos, their politics, and the necessary skills to discern when forming an alliance is strategically advantageous. As a former national team athlete, striving for excellence in my personal and professional life comes naturally. It's about giving your all, uplifting others, and constantly seeking improvement. Sports have instilled in me the ability to welcome and adapt to the unexpected.A career highlight for me was being honored with the Alumni Achievement Award by the University of Waterloo's Department of Environmental Studies, my alma mater.Outside of work I can be found with family and friends, participating in outdoor activity, gardening, cooking, taking in culture, reading, hiking, and traveling whenever time permits
