As a Night Manager for BJ Nachtwacht I am responsible for the smooth operation of different hotels during the night. It is an all-in-one job where no shift is the same. As the NM I am the contact person between guests, management and when needed emergency instances. I check and process the work done at the Front Desk during the day and report to the different departments where needed. In this position I have been able to practice and develop different competencies and skills such as problem solving, communication, management en leadership.

Since I was a little boy I wanted to own my own business, but I was afraid to take that "big step" because of the uncertainties associated with entrepreneurship. After 5 years working full time as a Night Manager I decided to start DFC Horeca & Management to be able to "wet my feet", since I would still doing the same, but now I could plan my own hours. So I decided to start January 2020. As we all know how that went, it was bad timing. However, I still managed to pull through and I started Tropicakes as a business besides DFC Horeca & Management. I am running both businesses and have ideas that will hopefully bring these businesses to the next level. Whatever the case I have and am learning a lot and am proud of what I have achieved until now.
