Deja McLaurin is a 2020 graduate of Michigan State University, where I majored in criminal justice and minored in sociology. Throughout my undergrad and professional experiences I have gotten to work with many different organizations that have contributed to my experiences, knowledge, and skills within the social services sector. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked closely with the Intensive Neglect Services program at the 30th District Court in Lansing, Mi and as a youth specialist with Child and Family Charities, a non-profit organization focused on protecting the welfare of children all ages. I am proactively shaping society and promoting social change by supporting all of the community, especially vulnerable and marginalized populations. I am a passionate advocate that is always seeking personal and professional development. Focusing my conversations around justice and equality for all. I hope to use my strengths and passions to work in an environment with similar goals.
