Mission accomplished over three and half years despite the Covid pandemic with Revenues grown to £38m (from £28m), Profits to £3.1m (from £0.7m), £6m of additional cash to the balance sheet (including £0.5m from R&D tax credits) and a healthy £30m increased order book.Key highlights include Organisational Restructure, Process Mapping, IT Accelerated Development, a new Indian based Admin Centre, Improved Customer Experience journey, Strategic plan and deep Competitor Analysis.

UK £70m 70 branches, report to CEO Owner, Pet Superstores (competitor PetsatHome).The role was to prep and sell the business, alongside usual CFO duties for Finance (SAGE), HR, IT and E-commerce.Prep:• Information Memorandum updates, Data Room docs • Logistics and Distribution Centre case study completed with Wincanton as an option for incoming investors • Detailed business planning 5yr, 1yr and monthly reforecasts (heavy spreadsheet modelling).• E-commerce 50% increase to monthly revenues & reward card registrations and replatform to Magento Cloud.• Secured £200k supplier cost reductions leading to higher EBITDA and Sale Valuation • Acquisition of assets negotiated from a distressed competitor business Sale:• Completed twice due to a last-minute investor pull out on the first round.• Pitched to Private Equity investors (15 presentations across two rounds).• Document Completion: Information Memorandum, Data Room Docs and Locked Box.• Due Diligence enabler covering Commercial, Legal and Finance (PWC, Grant Thornton etc.).• Successful sale completion achieved end May 2018.• Working with PE and incoming team CEO and CFO – two-month handover completed.

Fast growth £100m to £800m in 8 years due to geographic UK branch openings (more of the same, similar to Argos or Screwfix) and greater stock breadth (“Any Part for Any Car”). Whilst retaining an SME style and feel despite revenue size, part of this journey also saw the transition from a family owned business to a US corporate UK subsidiary (LKQ Corp funding facilitated accelerated growth). Reporting to the CFO, leading 65 people across five teams including Finance/HR/PayrollKey Achievements included the acquisition & integration of 6 separate ‘Car Paint’ trading companies (£100m turnover) and Gained Approval and supported financial delivery of a new ‘Design and Build’ supersize (1m sqft) central logistics facility in Tamworth, Birmingham. The last phase involved the closure of the Wembley office resulting in many job losses and offshoring to a new Indian finance team whilst relocating to Birmingham.
