More than 2 decades of experience from a number of industries and positions has made me a versatile and well-rounded tech industry leader.I started my journey as a teaching assistant at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering in Nis, Serbia, where I studied. My time there peaked when my interest shifted to the application of research to real life problems, which led me to the field of enterprise and B2B software and from there to the worlds of Industrial Automation and embedded hardware and software development. This professional path allowed me to learn a lot about industrial processes and challenges of digitalization and plant to enterprise integration. I strongly believe in the Global Maker movement. The explosion of consumer electronics and cheap and easily accessible hardware has made it possible for creators to take back the power of creativity and ingenuity, which has been held captive by big corporations for far too long. What if somebody started creating open industrial products, based on open source technologies, and brought fast technology cycles from consumer markets into the conservative and slow industrial world? With this question in mind I started Netico and Createsi together with few like minded people. We saw an opportunity to bring disruption to the conservative industrial world by providing cost effective alternatives through open source technologies, to help companies optimize production, energy supply and equipment maintenance.
