Designed and developed risk and value based analytical models, valuation engines and processing platforms for managing derivatives and multi asset security based portfolios for Bloomberg's MARS solutions. Code and supporting infrastructure designed and built to be highly performant, inherently scalable, fault tolerant and robust to meet the rigorous requirements of clients in the finance industry.

OneDrive Office/Sync Engine IntegrationEnhanced the Microsoft office productivity suite by providing greater file accessibility and group content management capability via OneDrive’s file sync infrastructure. • Technical expert for the OneDrive sync engine Office integration feature area. Collaborating with project management and development stakeholders in both Office and OneDrive groups on the evolution and development of Office and OneDrive sync semantics.  Mentored fellow team members on development in the OneDrive code development space  • Defined and developed a next generation sync contract and architecture for seamless processing and syncing of Office files across classic and modern windows operating system environments  • Added support for group folder file sync capabilities to the classic OneDrive sync engine. Features added enabled OneDrive to sync Office files across multiple user account (group sync) spaces, and provided consistent views of documents to Office rich clients  • Enabled automated quality assessments of the Office Sync Engine integration layer via select feature and stress based tests

OneDrive Windows Modern File ManagerReinventing the windows shell. The Modern File Manager (MFM) was designed to replace the classic shell explorer for windows, and merged both cloud (OneDrive) and local file management semantics to provide users distributed, fault tolerant, and remote access to their content.  • Designed and developed data layer components of the MFM that exposes the system shell to the modern UI using windows RT APIs. • Wrote base file property provider and change/event notification service layer components. Modules developed provide fine grained control on how data from the underlying shell are reported, and enables the ability to override or format data presented to the UI.  • Implemented service ramps and data throttling semantics in the MFM data layer. This feature blocks access to online only content when required and provides the ability to notify users of instances when the cloud service is being ramped, throttled or access blocked due to abuse.  • Designed and implemented the keyboard accessibility service component of the MFM. This feature provides keyboard only access and control to MFM file management and navigation commands. Keyboard only control/access are critical features required in products shipped by Microsoft, and cater to visually impaired or otherwise handicapped users, while also providing accelerated access to core application functionality.

OneDrive UX and Sync Engine CoreEnabled scalable, seamless and high availability file syncing via Microsoft’s OneDrive. OneDrive facilitates the syncing of documents across multiple devices that constitutes a user’s personal machine pool and the cloud. • Designed and implemented core features that provided selective sync capabilities to SkyDrive. Selective Sync gives users fine grained control on what content syncs between the cloud and their local devices. • Lead designer and developer for the windows 8 modern photos provider service. The photos provider serves as a content server for photos and videos media hosted on a user’s device, facilitating remote viewing of the content on windows 8 thin clients. • Provided the capability for the sync client to limit the incidence of synchronization conflicts requiring user intervention. Patents have been applied for the procedures developed to address and automatically resolve synchronization conflicts.• Added critical failure handling and mitigation features to improve the robustness of the product via mitigating fatal failure instances where possible or translating them to recoverable Watson Window Error Reporting faults. • Contributed to the development of the Windows 8 Data Access Layer, used by the modern photos client for transactions/communications with remote content providers. • Re-architected and re-implemented the sync client UX core and sync engine integration layers. Work done provided the capability for the sync client/engine to serve multiple clients on the same platform concurrently.

Digital Memories Group• Primary architect and developer for a digital media validation framework and libraries for audio, video and image files. Framework is being actively used by test teams all over Microsoft that have a requirement for the automated validation of digital media content (movies, soundtracks, audio recordings and photos)• Implemented COM libraries to expose the digital media verification library to both managed and unmanaged development environments.• Made recommendations that led to the design and implementation of features that enabled support of the Apple Quicktime container format in the windows live photo gallery (WLPG). This feature exposed the WLPG client to a significant camera and user base.• Made solid contributions to the successful shipment of two versions of movie maker, and the Windows Live Photo Gallery
